WW3 Team Yankee: Beqaa Valley Campaign Update

The NUTS group continued their WW3 Team Yankee campaign, set in the Beqaa Valley of Lebanon during 1982, recently.

The latest action took place near Rashayaa, with the Syrian 62nd Mech Division pushing south and running into an Israeli armored force, supported by combat engineers.

The mission was Spearpoint, which required the Israelis to defend an objective in their deployment area and also maneuver to contest an objective in the opposite table quarter.

The Israelis managed to get a mech platoon over to cover the far objective, but this left the near objective held by only one mech platoon. The Syrians pushed hard on the close objective, and after heavy casualties on both sides the Syrians managed to secure the objective, returning Rashayaa to Syrian control.
