WW3 Team Yankee: Lebannon 1982 Campaign Update

The NUTS group's Lebannon campaign continues, with additional Israeli thrusts into the Beqaa Valley.

We have completed 2 of the 3 battles for the June 9th AM turn, with the Israelis seeing renewed progress so far.

The first action saw Israeli armor pushing the PLO forces out of Rashayaa. The game was very characterful, with lots of PLO militia charges and the Israelis just managing to hold on long enough to hold them off.

The second battle was the fifth battle of Hardele Bridge, where the Syrian forces had repeatedly frustrated the Israeli advance. This time, after a very close game, the Israelis managed a costly triumph. The Arab forces have vowed a return to the "Bridge of Martyrs".

Excellent games both, very close and hard fought. The action will shift to Masghara next, as Israeli reservists try to open to road north.
