Fate of a Nation: Battle for "Budapest"

Our Suez 1973 campaign continued this month, with an Israeli counterattack near the destroyed "Budapest" position on the Bar Lev Line.

Dave led an Israeli Magach 3 formation against an Egyptian BMP formation led by Bart, and the mission was Dogfight.

The Israelis pushed aggressively, focusing on the nearer objective, which was protected by minefields and dug in Egyptian infantry. The Israelis pushed into the minefields, and cmae very close to taking the objective, but Egyptian reserves arrived just in time and restored the line. A narrow 6-3 win for the Egyptians.
