Flames of War: Normandy British Sector Action

The most recent NUTS group game was a large FOW clash set in the British sector of Normandy, in the open rolling terrain south of Caen.

A mix of Polish and British Cromwell units with support took on 3 German forces, all of which featured lots of Tigers.

Cromwells need to be very aggressive with big cats, needing flank shots. But they are fast, and with the Scout rule they can stay gone to ground while moving, so the game was quite tense and close. As the dust cleared the Germans had held off the Allies, but they left a lots of burning cats on the battlefield! Great fun.
